Daily Update

So we continue to ride the ups and downs in the NICU. Yesterday was a pretty bad day. Callie had a plug in her ET tube and had to have it taken out and a new one put in. It was pretty traumatic. Callie was of course braver than Mom and Dad. Today was better, she rested comfortably most of the day and we hope she can do the same tonight. She should have her repeat Echo Cardiogram tomorrow and we are hopeful that the medicine will have made a difference. If not, they will begin scheduling transfer and surgery.

  1. I am holding on to the faith that we will get good news tomorrow. She looks comfortable. I love the little hand resting on her check.

I hope you and Lee will be able to get a good rest tonight.

    Love you all.

  2. Thinking good thoughts for the Echo tomorrow. I hope everyone gets a good night's sleep. Callie looks like she's found a comfortable spot to snuggle in.

    Sweet dreams.

  3. Glad to hear Callie had a better day today. Just talked to your mom and she said that Callie held onto your finger for a little while. That's terrific! Big moment for Mommy. Keep up the good work Mommy and Daddy.

    All our support and prayers,

  4. Callie has been in our thoughts as we keep up with your blog each and every day. We are hoping for the best and that she won't need surgery. The pictures that you post of Callie are so wonderful - she is such a little darling. We're constantly thinking of all of you. Keep fightin' little girl!

  5. April sent me your blog. As a mom of a preemie spending months in the NICU I know it can be a very scary and exhausting place. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. God bless!
