Callie's New Friend

Here is a picture of Callie and her first stuffed animal, a little pink dog that her Great Aunt Kim got her. She likes to snuggle with it!
Today they have increased her feeds again, this time it is up to 13 cc's every four hours. If she can continue at this rate, she will be on full breast milk and off of the IV by this weekend. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves though, they say this feeding process can start and stop many times.
They also have attempted to decrease the ventillator settings. We will see how she tolerates it the rest of today and this evening. For the most part, she has been restful today with the exception of a few moments where she gets mad at the world! Callie is not a fan of when the doctors examine her. I think she can sense that a stethoscope is nearing her isolette!

  4. Callie,

I am so glad you like snuggling with the little puppy dog I sent you. It makes me feel close to you.

Keep drinking that milk little girl and that IV will go bye-bye. If you're anything like your Great Aunt, you probably hate that thing!!

    I love you,
    Kim

  7. I just went through all of Callie's pictures with my son Liam and I have to tell you, her progress is nothing short of a miracle. When you read where this journey began and where you are now, it is nothing short of a miracle. God is so good and He has blessed all of you so much. Callie is an amazing child who has already done such big things. What a month you have had.... Again, may God continue to bless the medical staff, Callie's amazing Mom and Dad, and most especially Baby Callie. Thank you for sharing such a special journey with so many. My wishes to you for many more good days ahead!
    Nancy
