I am Home at Last!!!

Callie did it! She officially graduated from the NICU today! Mommy and Daddy couldn't be any more excited and proud! It is so amazing to have her home after three long months! Now we can finally settle down as a family! We couldn't have made it through these last three months without the love, prayer and support that we have gotten from all of you! We will continue to update the blog as Callie continues to grow (she is 4lbs 12 oz!). As for the surgery we mentioned on the last post, that is still a possibility, but doesn't seem to have any urgency at the moment, which is a good thing. Callie has a follow up appointment next week at Johns Hopkins with the Neurosurgeon and we hope to get more answers then!

  3. I have been on the edge of my seat checking the blog today. Wondering if today was the day. Then Grams called me and gave me the wonderful news!!!!

I would like to thank you for taking the time to update the blog through these past months. It gave me some comfort to know what was happening with our little girl.

I send hugs and kisses to your family! What a wonderful feeling it must be.

  6. We have all been praying for this moment for three months and two days! From Maryland to NY, from SC to WV, we're sure you can hear the cheers of excitement from all of little Callie's fan club members.

We're sure you're already asleep in your crib in your own home tonight, so we wish you sweet dreams, precious baby. We're sure Mommy & Daddy are overjoyed as they watch you sleep in your own crib!

    Love,
    G.A. Bev & G.U. Bill

  7. Yeah Callie! What a long road you have come, and what a special day! I know your Mom and Dad are beyond thrilled to have you home. We miss you and your family at Hopkins, but are so glad you have not stopped fighting one step of the way. I enjoy seeing your pictures and look forward to watching you grow. I know Mom and Dad are going to be super busy with you at home, but tell them to keep the pics and updates coming. Stay strong, keep fighting, and maybe I'll see you again on the outside!
Hugs from one of your nurses,
    Kristin Farmer
