We have exciting news...Callie is out of her isolette and into a bassinet!! They made the move yesterday morning and so far she has been able to maintain her body temperature and continue to gain weight. She is currently 3 1/2 lbs!
The other exciting news is that Callie is now eating all of her meals...no more gavage feeds through her NG tube!! They have increased the amount that she gets and have spread the feeds to every four hours. This is so that she can get more rest in between and start preparing her for home!
I just read the last two updates and cannot tell you how overjoyed I am for the whole family. What an amazing baby girl you have brought into this world. God bless you all and I am looking forward to the day I see you guys walking the dogs and the stroller through the 'hood! Congrats and Godspeed to all!
ReplyDeleteMari and Lee, I have soooooo happy about your news. The first real discussions about the joyous occasion of taking her home! I know it will still me some time but I can't imagine the excitement.
ReplyDeleteLove always

ReplyDeleteIt is so amazing that you are out of your isolette and that your doctors and nurses are starting to talk about you going home! It is also really exciting that you have reached 3 1/2 lbs. You have stayed so strong through all of this and it is great that you still are getting stronger and stronger everyday.
